Building Resilience: How Lightweight Systems Perform in Seismic Zones

Seismic forces on a building are directly proportional to its mass — the heavier the structure, the greater the force it must resist during an earthquake. This is one of the reasons lightweight systems like AAC block masonry and light gauge steel framing are gaining traction in seismic design.
